History
NOSTA (Niederösterreichische Außenhandels GmbH) was founded in 1950, when the founder Erich David obtained a state license to Trade with mineral oil products. At that time, Austria was occupied by the four victorious nations: the USA, the Soviet Union, Great Britain and France. Oil production and refineries were operating in the Soviet controlled area, now the province of Lower Austria.
In the 1970s NOSTA expanded activities into logistics by acquiring, operating and commercially leasing Rail Tank Cars for the transportation of mineral oil products .
In 2011, the trade of mineral oil products was expanded through the establishment of KOSAL Oil SHA in Albania.
In 2016, NOSTA became an official distributor of RFS Radio Frequency Systems, a company based in Germany. RFS is one of the world's leading manufacturers of infrastructure for mobile communications and broadcast. NOSTA is RFS distributor in Austria, Hungary, Albania and Kosovo.

Mineral oil products
NOSTA trades in products from mineral oil refineries. NOSTA's activities are focused on Austria and its neighboring countries as well as Albania / Kosovo, where NOSTA operates from an oil terminal in Porto Romano (Durres).
